This tool can be helpful when you realize what data search companies have access to; how many times have you deliberately searched your own name? What about your home address using something like google maps? Information for planning trips and vacations? Your bank? Your school? It's not just cookies and preferences anymore. This information in the wrong hands can reveal nearly your entire identity, and if you don't trust companies to be able to securely store this information, processes like this are nearly your only available tool.
