Computer science and AI has been dealing with the idea of creating "thinking" machines for quite a while now, and even though probably the further we move on there, the more we see that actually we don't yet know anything at all, some of the achievements made the last decades are at least to be called "a promising start". This article takes things even a little further, writing about what it would take to not just implement "intelligence" in some machine (say, a robot), but also provide it with the ability to "dream"... I am not sure what to think of that. Perhaps looking at the issue this way, from the perspective of someone investigating things closely in order to build a copy of it, perhaps we might see some "interesting" insights into dream research and the understanding of "sleep". On the other side, perhaps those issues are way more than we might ever be able to model using machines and scientific approaches... I am not sure... At least it is food-for-thought. :)
