My heart has been broken and this poem spoke to me. Thank you, Mike. WATER FOR A BRUISED BLOSSOM Water for a bruised blossom in a garden of vines waiting for earbuds in a field of song it won't be long before the sun translates into speech and the soil in rows of four four time sends the rain up your roots to unbruise your blossom balanced on your stem when tendrils of your fractals coil around the fence between you and the lips you wish to speak the lips you want to sing the phone you want to ring and the words of love coil around you with every blink of your eyes and every bruise on every petal beyond your fence bows to your beauty ~Mke Welch

Great art - sometimes it's hard to tell which to focus on more, the visual art or the written words. Good stuff.

Your pictures leave me breathless (Only for a few seconds ) and your poetry leaves me speechless (also only for a few seconds) It is hard to keep an old bat like me breathless and speechless for long. But seriously, your work is awesome. Thank you for sharing with those of us less fortunate in the talent department.

A CURIOUS STATE OF UNFASTEN IN YOUR SACRED ACRE photo credit Laid upon the bed of naughty and nice opened not unlike a double can of momentary pleasure and it all seems sublime and fated into entitlement face in a curious state of unfasten above the open sea of flesh splashing to my shore from the lunar force of water from the fabric of your blouse shot from a holster adorning your hips when all doors agree to open between us for the light at the end of solitary confinement where this man receives the best part of you in exchange for the love of your life a moment ticking in units of wine case by case sketched in rows of merlot for tomorrow's open windows booking your shelves for a nine o'clock flight for my key to your shore on a chain of six month eternities adorning your nightstand begging with the demonstrative mercies of capture to land feet first in a curious definition of unfasten on the stable ground of your sacred acre and we prey ~Mike Welch (all material copyrighted © Mike Welch 2008)

Mike Welch. Thank-you,Sir. agian***** ABOVE THE FLOOR You appear in the rise of smoke your feet above the floor a treat for eyes blinking in the trees on the other side of glass counting faces in grains of wood locked in rings inside these trees where your audience applauds the source of your burn through the rise of your limbs unfettered by contours frozen in time, and I must say You look rested and calm after all these years and I wonder why you chose the medium of smoke this time instead of the notes of a song or a momentary reflection from a window while I am lost in thought standing in a line somewhere once again without the usual distractions blocking my view Or the sight of you floating to me arranged in the clouds receiving my windshield And I wonder if you know how it rearranges my compass each time you appear to kidnap me into the land of lost birds as we sip from the same glass leaving me alone once again for that fractured flight home to count backwards on the other side of time ~Mike Welch (all material copyrighted © Mike Welch 2008)

Mike Welch. Takes great photos. Writes great poems. Made of 90% water (thats 20% too much i believe) Has an uncontrollable urge to blink every few seconds (no one is perfect. (I, for example, still smoke) Usually wear shoes. (same here but only winters) Coffee acts as a stimulant on him. (that makes sense) Once walked on water in subzero temperatures. Says things are chocolate. (well, some of them can be that way, sometimes. here is an example http://wtv10.stumbleupon.com/)
