- The reality is that when you buy an Apple product, you are paying a premium for a certain image. Whether or not that image is worth it is up to the individual consumer. You'll never see me with a MacBook Air, but I'm sure others have different priorities.

- Ehh, I don't have strong feelings about this shiny apple product either way. This guy was a little to worked up about the thing sucking. Maybe he is being paid to bash it. Maybe I'm wrong; I've been very skeptical of StumbleUpon since they were bought by ebay.com.

- Why this site sucks big time:No optical drive. So what? Who uses physical media anymore.No ethernet port. Everyone has wireless now, who cares.Only 1 USB port. Damn, because I was gonna bring my printer with me on the plane.Battery not user replaceable. Um, how often do you change your battery? Normal people don't need to all that often.Mono Speakers. Yeah, and I'm also pissed that my MacBook doesn't have built in 5.1!Slow Processor. Anything else would melt through the tiny case. You're missing the point here, the main feature is that it is small.Slow 1.8 Hard drive. Again, it's not supposed to be fast. A bigger hard drive would make the case much more thick.It's too thin! Wow, way to totally miss the point of the product.Granted, the MacBook Air is a piece of crap, but it's only due to the price - it's just not worth $1800 to anyone to have an ultra-portable computer.

- I'm stumbling on a Macbook right now. It's my first Apple computer and I love it. That being said, I can't figure out exactly why the Macbook Air is being produced anything more than a marvelous engineering concept. The problems that this article pointed out are nearly all rather noticeable obstacles to marketability - especially the lack of an optical drive. What's Apple going after, exactly?
