- What ! Who could have guessed that ? And who could have guessed that the destruction of the former Jugoslavia had anything at all to do with the United States' desire to establish even tighter military control over the Balkans, after the collapse of the Soviet Union ? Why didn't I read about this in the New York Times ?...
