I gave it a thumbs down because I don't feel the body is seperate from the rest of us and thus can't be 'discarded' as the author proposes. It would be like the body discarding itself, there would be nothing left. Ideas of this nature arise from the false separation of mind from matter...

An interesting theory posited here, but not one I would necessarily support. I wonder were we to discard our bodies, would we lose that which makes us human. The author here uses science fiction as an analogy. To take that analogy further, what do we think of the borg and the cybermen? .... hmmm
