***** I like it. Be patient all you Linux and Windows connoisseurs. Just because YOU may have seen similar web sites before doesn't mean everyone has. Remember, you were once a beginner, too. Thank you for the web site. *****

i can't believe I stumbled on another site about what I should do after I install Ubuntu. Fuck off. Jesus tap-dancing Christ, the thing to do after installing any distro for anyone who is new to Linux is to learn through doing. Install Wine? Why? Is that necessary immediately after you install Ubuntu or any other distro? Gnome Do? Eye Candy? Ubuntu Tweak? Gnome FUCKING DO??!!!?!? How old is everyone? You need your logic box to be shiny?!? Shit they're just tools that can potentially help you get work done and entertain yourself in between serving our corporate pay-masters (blessings be upon them). Any list that involves telling people what should be done on a new linux install would probably include installing/removing packages, basic command line skills, etc. and so on. But oh wait, there are plenty of resources that can tell you how to do those things should you need to know. Which begs the question: why was this blog entry necessary?
