Have you ever frozen two pounds of ground beef together, and then planned meal that only requires one pound? Or frozen a whole batch of tomato sauce, only to make a dish that requires just one cup? If so, you need to read this article for an ingenious way of freezing the same volume at one time that still allows you to remove smaller portions if that's all you need.

I used to do this, now whenever I make half a weeks worth of dinners to freeze it all just ends up getting eaten before it is cold enough to go in the freezer.

highly useful, in my mind. So hard to break it apart for individual servings after freezing.
