ok, just cuz you have a mac doesnt mean you should let your computer run for weeks at a time. secondly, just cuz you have a mac doesnt mean you should run 15+ apps at a time. also, running your fan constantly is not the best idea.

Not entirely good advice.. running the fans constantly on Mactels sure does cool down the CPU a bit, but it also reduces the fan's lifetime. Also, killing individual dashboard widgets frees up a negligible amount of RAM compared to disabling it entirely (defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES; sudo killall Dock)
