"A moderate caffeine intake is considered to be about 250 milligrams per day, or two to three cups of coffee daily; most experts agree that a cup or two of java or iced tea - an hour before your daily walk, run, or workout session - an make the task seem easier."

Eh, interesting information, but I think I'll stick with plain water for now. Many of these kind of studies are disproved a few years later anyway...so I find it best to just stick with the basics. Either way, a thumbs up for the information.

Sorry to all you haters but caffeine is good for you, go read some more studies before you go comparing it to illegal drugs.

From the page: "Good news for coffee, tea, and cola lovers: Caffeine may be the perfect complement to your summer workouts. "

How can this possibly pass on a website called 'Healthy Living,' caffeine works by blocking adenosine, so yes, you don't feel tired. This also causes the blood vessels in your brain to constrict. Releases dopamine, in the same way heroin, cocaine and sugar work. It'll increase your blood pressure and heart rate, so more blood will flow to your muscles - but hell, why not boost your workout with steroids? Also ignore what they say.. caffeine in any form is still a mild diuretic. It will speed up your urine cycle and remove calcium from the body faster than normal.

Caffeine is actually bad for your health and you're even more exhausted afterwards. What's next, boost your summer workout with nicotine?
