SidewaysCaver rated 7 months ago- Thanks to its slow decay rate, the vast majority of all plastics ever produced still exist ... somewhere! That is insane! We can't keep buying what they are selling...lets think about this!

energyboy10 rated 8 months ago- Bottled water is healthy water -- right? That's what the marketers would have us believe. Just look at the labels or the bottled water ads: deep, pristine pools of spring water; majestic alpine peaks; healthy, active people gulping down icy bottled water between biking in the park and a trip to the yoga studio. In reality, bottled water is just water. That fact isn't stopping people from buying a lot of it. Estimates variously place worldwide bottled water sales at between $50 and $100 billion each year, with the market expanding at the startling annual rate of 7 percent.

Babs05 rated 9 months ago- Not to mention we have no idea how long bottles of water are in storage before they hit the shelves. Not good to drink stagnant water.

cuy rated 11 months ago- Water should be Free!!! From the page: "a basic human right: the access to safe and affordable water"

como006 rated 11 months ago- I know I've said this before, however I will repeat my total opposition to bottled water. It's a con, not to mention a huge waste of finite resources!

jediliska rated 12 months ago- Buy a damn Nalgene bottle, people! Less garbage, and you can fill it with FILTERED water! What a concept!

LeonardoDaVinci rated 12 months ago- With the advent of oxygen bars, I think we're fighting a losing battle in trying to get people to stop paying for something that, is, essentially, free. The great paradox is the bottle water we insist on paying money for, and the plastic it produces and wastes, are all in great need in other, less developed countries of the world.

Anndaluz rated 12 months ago- Frankly drinking bottled water has always struck me as morally equivalent to driving a SUV. This short article deals with the obvious ecological costs and concerns people may have about their health. Less obviously the article also links to the growing problems caused by the activities of private water companies. " Multinational corporations are stepping in to purchase groundwater and distribution rights wherever they can, and the bottled water industry is an important component in their drive to commoditize what many feel is a basic human right: the access to safe and affordable water."
