    Most of what I have read here make great sense mainly because I have experienced all of the problems and nuisances that go along with the software mentioned.

    ths is a great list however VLC was good like 4 years and is fine for basic viewing however it's progress bar is very frustrating for many people to get to a certain part of what you're watching, also it doesn't dispaly subtitles properly. I suggest ZoomPlayer or KMPlayer ,both are free and superior to VLC in every way. I personally use KMPlayer since zoomplayer's free version doesn't support PNG screenshots as well as some other things

    the only thing i'll disagree with is foxit reader i always run into problems when printing things from it ie missing pages or just NOT printing at all
