I'm one of those kids spoken of that was held back and forced to do meaningless busywork while the rest of the class tried to catch up with me.

Thats such crap, honestly if I let my 6 year old son be 'unschooled' his natural curiosity to study would extend solely to World of Warcraft and Pokemon. I suppose one day he could make a living battling Team Rocket?

an interesting concept, although there are some inherent holes in the theory. as with most things, balance is key.
