- Apparently, the above picture is supposed to be kefir. Well, never one to be satisfied, I Wiki'd kefir and got a different story. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the real kefir: kefir requires a live culture of bacteria and yeasts. (um....yuck!) This bacterial culture forms a rubbery feeling lump that can look like a small floret of cauliflower and ranges in size from a small kernel of corn to a small plum. (Better see a doctor about that.) Kefir grains will exude a clear or pale yellow gel called kefiran at certain stages of growth (I'm guessing that was puberty?) which is normal and contributes to kefir's organoleptic (mouthfeel) properties. (Oh,no! I'm not going near any "mouthfeel" thingies!) I'm glad I could help clear that up!

- I was all over these pages until I got to the one picture, the half Tigger Spidey-Speedo thing. Then I had to go outside and stare directly at the sun for about a half an hour to burn the image off my retinas.
