humbleInfidel discovered 5 months ago- FREEDOM TO OFFEND There are only 7 defenses for liberalism in America. They have nothing to do with the benefits of liberalism, rather they are charges against conservatism, going on the old war philosophy, "The best defense is a good offense." Xenophobe, Islamophobe, homophobe, racist, sexist, intolerant, bigot. Conservatives should know how simple it is to answer liberal attacks against Christianity and conservatism. If the liberal can't distort the facts without somebody on your side keeping them straight for them, then they are reduced to screaming names at you. It would be a simple matter to match name for name, but that just is not who we are. Xenophobe could be answered with America hater, and Islamophobe could be answered with traitor, homophobe with pervert, etc., No, that would only result in new names that have to be answered with other new names. We'd rather burrow down into the issues and really have a dialog on what is best for our country. No really, we've been pretty quiet about a lot of things for a long time and now with the liberal agenda to indoctrinate us in our workplaces and our kids in state run schools with diversity training, and an absolute lunatic fringe in control of one of only two major political parties, we the conservative base are mobilized and have decided to get educated on the topics the liberals want changed so badly. So let's go over the charges one by one.

It's ironic that the very first thing this piece does is shoot its self in the foot trying to rationalize ignorance and stupidity in politics. Don't get me wrong, many conservatives do make a valid point that I occasionally agree with, these however are not. Here's a good one for example: From the page:""Where do I start? This country was built on these freedoms and done so by very religious Christians. We are open to discussion of religious matters, but WE ARE BEING KICKED OUT OF THE PUBLIC ARENA!!" No, this country was built upon preserving certain inalienable rights not on Christian principles. It's right there in the first amendment:"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." which means that you don't have the right to force your personal religion down people's throats *and* no one has the right to strip you of your right to worship either. The problem is that your definition of free discussion on the topics of religion and morality amount to "my way is better and you're getting in my way of forcing it upon others!!" Case in point: From the page:"Homophobia: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals"..... "We condemn the activity, not the practitioners. Its summed up in the phrase, "hate the sin, not the sinner." We have a legitimate fear of the gay agenda being legislated to indoctrinate us and especially our kids. Normalizing and legitimizing destructive behavior can only lead to increased numbers of practitioners." You do not have a right to force your own personal religious bent/personal morality on others. Nor do you have the right to harass, discriminate or otherwise meddle in other people's personal lives, Period. That goes for the converse as well, no one has the right to tell you what you can and can not do in your own personal life provided that you aren't maliciously infringing on another's liberties. Then there's this bit of nonsense:From the page:"Also, equating our religion with Islam is ridiculous on its face. Christianity does not condone murder in the name of Christ whereas Islam does." That is a lie. First of all because the Christian texts are no less violent and gory and second because even if that was the case, you can't lump over a billion people into the "bad" category just because you'd rather remain gleefully ignorant of the world around you. Now get off my lawn you [CENSORED] kids.

- Stopped reading at about the fifth baseless assertion. There are intelligent defenses of many conservative stances and none of them appear here and it is a shame.
