I found this bottle floating in my pool today and I thought I better take the questions seriously if someone went to all the trouble to climb the huge fence and toss it in the water like that. 1 Do you live in a city (large or small), rural area, suburbs, metropolis or what? I grew up in... more

Old post but, why not? 1 Do you live in a city (large or small), rural area, suburbs, metropolis or what? I live in Santiago de Cali, a small city in Colombia. I like it, it's a hot tropical city by a mountain. 2 Do you tell anything very personal on your SU pages or do you make a point of not doing so (or adopt an attitude somewhere in between)? I mainly write thoughts I have about the things I save in my blog, however if the topic deserves some personal insight I really don't mind writing it. 3 How do you rate yourself in terms of attractiveness, sex appeal and marketability (in the real, face-to-face, world)? Average I guess, I have friends and I've suceeded or failed with women as much as the next guy. I like to talk about common interests with people and so far that hasn't failed. 4 What do or did you use the computer for besides SU? work, research, listen to music, watch movies, internet. 5 ÂHave you ever experienced serious loss or a very difficult period in your life? yes and yes. Sometimes our choices affect our lives and sometimes life's just unfair but you just have to keep on going.

I agree with Bobby, Jude, that was a very cool thing to do. And since Im way beyond the fashionably late period here, I will start by apologizing for taking so long to reply. That being said, here we go: 1) Do you live in a city (large or small), rural area, suburbs, metropolis or what? I am originally from Brazil, was born in a big city called Belo Horizonte (also known Brazil's capital of bars). Moved to the US at the end of 2004, and here, I live commuting between Biloxi (Mississippi) and Mobile (Alabama). Yes, from the capital of bars straight to the bible belt. Folks here like to say we are not in the Deep South. I hear this, and often wonder how much deeper in the South I can get before actually hitting the sea. But I digress... Mobile Biloxi 2) Do you tell anything very personal on your SU pages or do you make a point of not doing so (or adopt an attitude somewhere in between)? I dont make it a diary, cause frankly, who cares, right? Different people use SU differently, I suppose. To me is all about fun, discovering content, learning, sharing, and socializing. But, other than comments about songs I love, some bleeding heart leftist political comments, some reference to friends, and some major issues that usually take me away from SU every now and then, I try not to make it too personal. 3) How do you rate yourself in terms of attractiveness, sex appeal and marketability (in the real, face-to-face, world)? Freaking fabulous is what I wish my answer was. Realistically, however, I have to settle for just average in all three categories. Sad but true. 4) What do or did you use the computer for besides SU? Piracy and porn, of course, what else? Oh, also for school work, research, talking to the boyfriend all day long, shopping, getting in touch with friends, and things like that. And piracy. And porn. =0) 5) Have you ever experienced serious loss or a very difficult period in your life? Yes, had my share of both, like everybody else. Lost my dad, my country, people (some friends), and most recently, lost my beautiful friend, Kokoh. I guess would love to conclude by saying something philosophical about loss, but I wont; loss just sucks. Kokoh

I commend Judefa for trying to regain the spark that was and still can be the SU community. Now here goes: 1. Do you live in a city (large or small), rural area, suburbs, metropolis or what? I live in a moderately sized city, which is kinda cool because you get all the perks of living in a big city without the surplus population. Pittsburgh city population is only 335,000 but the metropolitan area is around 2 million. 2. Do you tell anything very personal on your SU pages or do you make a point of not doing so (or adopt an attitude somewhere in between)? Yes and sometimes I come back the next day and wish I hadn't....but I always speak my mind to a fault unless it is really going to hurt someone unnecessarily (like, "am I ugly?") 3. How do you rate yourself in terms of attractiveness, sex appeal and marketability (in the real, face-to-face, world)? What is funny is I think sometimes people think THAT I THINK I am all that and I actually DO NOT! I feel I have a pretty realistic view of myself...I think. I think I am a little bit cute but can look god darn ugly as well; but I care less about that as I grow older. The only thing I am secure about is I know I am smart and have a penchant for survival, hence my friends nicknamng me "Phoenix" 4. What do or did you use the computer for besides SU? (Wiping the keys with disinfectant) Nothing else, really 5. Have you ever experienced serious loss or a very difficult period in your life? Yes, as many of you know the loss of my mom at 16 has become part of who I am, how could it not. Also, I went through grueling back surgery as did Speidyt. And many of you know about me being involved with a certain ex-man of the cloth, who tried to frame me for some wrongs he had done. That left me with lotta issues not about relationships but about the duplicity of people, and am I just a throwaway person? But enough, we all have issues, some subscriptions, fuck it, life is too short and to quote the female author of Silas Marner who went by the pen name Georg Eliot, "it's never too late to become what you might have been." And I say it is never too late to have a happy childhood.

Fashionably late . . . I wasn't planning to respond to your post Judefia mostly because I am a big enough blabbermouth about myself as it is. (#2. Do you tell anything very personal on your SU pages + #5. Have you ever-experienced serious loss or a very difficult period in your life?) But just for the record, I live with roughly 3,493,485 million neighbours. With regards to my perception of self attractiveness and marketability for #3; I've been working on my inner gorgeousness lately. Alone or snugly with the one I love, I have never been up for $ale. I do everything but wash the windows online. I even do the laundry. (#2+#5). .

Answers: From the page: "1 Do you live in a city (large or small), rural area, suburbs, metropolis or what?I live in a small town; population increases when the two private colleges that make their home here are in session. It's a real Midwestern "Mayberry" with a historic downtown and a "square" where community members meet for music and fun one night a week during the summer. There is a river that runs through the city and and an arboretum where people can get away to nature. If you need a dose of urban life the Twin Cities are only an hour's drive away. Picture above is near where I live, rural Minnesota = lots of cornfields! 2 Do you tell anything very personal on your SU pages or do you make a point of not doing so (or adopt an attitude somewhere in between)?Generally, I don't reveal too much. There may be a snippet of my life here or there to be found on my pages but online I am mostly a closed book to all but my closest friends. Having said that this little entry is bound to change that somewhat! 3 How do you rate yourself in terms of attractiveness, sex appeal and marketability (in the real, face-to-face, world)?I don't rate myself mostly because I am not marketable right now. School, parenting, and work have taken up most of my life the past few years. If you were to ask others, they would probably tell you that I am nice or sweet (I get that a lot). If you think that is sexy or attractive, then I guess I am (to you). 4 What do or did you use the computer for besides SU?Work, school, social networking, email, managing photos. I do NOT use it for anything financial, I am old-fashioned in that way. So don't hack me. :) 5 Have you ever experienced serious loss or a very difficult period in your life?No serious loss in the way of deaths of close loved ones. (I have extreme gratitude for this though I know I will most probably face it some day.) Difficult period would be my divorce. No fun for anyone any way you look at it but it's done. Forge ahead.Done! :)
