I've read the book and it is indeed very nice. But the article is idiotic and shows how the author didn't understand shit of what he read. That spiral was slapped on random pics it has nothing to do with. Of course, once you have a lot of elements in an image, you can make it seem they line up with anything you want (which is something that the book discusses too, ironically). Actually, most of those images are indeed based on the rule of thirds, which is all you'll ever need for your composition purposes. I laugh at the thought of someone trying to implement the golden ratio in composing a photo, boy, that'll take some work.

i love it, its like sacred sexy geometry...skipped the words but the pictures are beautiful examples of the golden mean.
