(PSI is my favorite for Mac and tkabber is my UNIX preference).JAJC has has the most features with the least bloat and the interface looks like a chat client rather than a shiny toy (in fact, this client is very much like the old version of ICQ from 1998 (v.98a). It features PGP encryption, SSL, sticky-note type quick-notes, XHTML parsing and the ability to retrieve messages from and sign off remote clients that you are logged in with under the same Jabber UID (for example, if you're logged into three seperate machines with the same Jabber account). My favorite new feature of version 0.0.7.107 (Dec 21st 2003) is the implementation of hot-keys that you can tie into displaying the application or hiding it or even pulling up a chat window with a specific user.
