Here's a site which I defy you to review well or even adequately. Writing about a writer is going to be intimidating if you're not a writer but if you're a reader you're missing out if you don't visit the Jack-Black arcana. There's pics and music too but really it's the words which will draw you in.

Die Rose, die Lilie, die Taube, die Sonne Heinrich Heine (no. 3 tr. JB) The rose, the lily, the dove, the sun, I once loved them all as my passion did run. I love them no more, my dalliance done Save the Fair one, the Fine one, the Pure one, the One; Lilies and Apples 1931 by Arthur Lismer She herself -- the source of all love -- Is my rose and my lily, my sun and my dove. I love her alone, all others I shun Save the Fair one, the Fine one, the Pure one, the One. Portrait of Ira P by Tamara de Lempicka Blue Rose 1922 by Piet Mondrian I'LL dip my spirit discreetly In the cup of the lily down here The lily shall sing to me sweetly A song of my mistress dear. The song shall tremble and quiver, Like that delicious kiss, Of which her mouth was the giver In a wondrous moment of bliss. Lefevre-Utile 1903 by Alphonse Mucha ========== the poem has been translated by Brendan, You are the best! /

. --I was given the Hellenic tongue my house a humble one on the sandy shores of Homer. ----My only care my tongue on the sandy shores of Homer. The sea-bream and perch ----windbeaten verbs green currents with the cerulean ----all that I saw blazing in my entrails sponges, medusae ----with the first words of the Sirens pink shells with their first dark tremors. (Elytis, from Axion Esti) Wonderful blog, the kind where you stop by for a visit and end up staying hours reading.Thank you Brendan! .

I'LL dip my spirit discreetly In the cup of the lily down here The lily shall sing to me sweetly A song of my mistress dear. Love your pages, I always learn so much from your world, and beautifully put together too...Thank you Brendan!

( on bandwidth restrictions. Will edit further later.) from jack's page, but not a typical jack pic. That's part of the pleasure of his pages : unpredictability, variety, appreciation of many things. This is a man who savors life. :::::

Unique awesome pages ! Would like to visit again. No, I wasn't meant to love and be loved. If I'd lived longer, I would have waited longer. Knowing you are faithless keeps me alive and hungry. Knowing you faithful would kill me with joy. Delicate are you, and your vows are delicate, too, so easily do they break. You are a laconic marksman. You leave me not dead but perpetually dying. I want my friends to heal me, succor me. Instead, I get analysis....
