  • Busted for wearing a peace T-shirt; has this country gone completely insane?

From the page: "Friday afternoon, drinking a cup of coffee while sitting in the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center on Chicago's south side, a Veterans Administration cop walked up to me and said, "Okay, you've had your 15 minutes, it's time to go." "Huh?" I... more

I really hope that this story is not true for the sake of both America and my sanity. But with the likelihood that it is factual, I tip my hat to this person for not succumbing to the peer pressure of the VA cop and hope that VA cops are trained to more adequately identify protesters. Holding up signs and yelling is probably the catch-all there. And what makes this worse is that I haven't heard about any town hall protesters (you know, the REAL kind) getting arrested for crazy antics. The person in this story was enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. Law enforcement everywhere must have redefined the term "crazy" lately.

From the page: ""Huh?" I asked intelligently, not quite sure what he was talking about." Stopped reading there. I really am too generous.

veterans for peace is sort of a protest in itself since soldiers job is to fight in wars and other soldiering duties related to war. it's the job. get over yourself hippie.

From the page: "I'm sure I could go back to officers Adkins' and Ousleys' fiefdom with a shirt that said, "Nuke all the hajis," or "Show us your tits," or any number of truly obscene things and no one would care. Just so it's not "that shirt" again." | The T-shirt was a "Veterans For Peace shirt". Here's a link https://www.vfpstore.org/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4
