MrHandyDan rated 5 weeks ago- I watched this movie last night. I was thinking, "cool!" this movie is pretty good. Then it started seeming familiar. Right when Will Smith got in his house and locked up all the windows and doors. "O crap!" This is just a rehashed plot of some movie from the 70's. I think maybe Charlton Heston started in it. I can't even remember the name of the movie. Maybe it was from the 60's. I think it was in black and white. Okay, better special effects, the humans with the virus were scarier. So, it wasn't a waste. Added later: Oh! I found it. It was Charlton Heston in The Omega Man. The character's name was Robert Neville in both movies. It was made in 1971. At least I'm not crazy....but Hollywood has run out of ideas.

- I thought it was a good movie. Haven't read the book yet, but it makes me want to. I am sure the book is better if book to movie transitions hold true to form.

- I just watched this and it was excellent. Animation was very realistic and Will Smith was cool as always. Highly recommend it.

- Man. I'm not sure I can watch it if Samantha (Abbey the dog) dies. :( I really want to, but I love dogs so much that I won't be able to take it if she goes.

- The original book was great! I totally loved the comic books!!! I really didn't care for the Charlton Heston movie version... The Omega Man- which is an adaptation of the book. I REALLY hope this rocks. I'll be there!
