zenetik discovered 8 months ago- The RIAA's scorched earth policy of extorting, threatening and harassing its customers based on flimsy "evidence" is starting to face resistance. Things were working better for the RIAA when it could pick off targets individually. Things are beginning to change, though. Individuals facing RIAA lawsuits are beginning to band together. Universities are giving the RIAA the finger and now the Free Software Foundation has created an Expert Witnesses Fund where anyone can make tax-deductible donations to help fund expert witnesses for those defending themselves against the RIAA in court. It kind of feels like the beginning of a consumer revolution.
