Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. This company may very well be creating the way of the future. People should also check out a recent interview with the chief executive of Better Place, Shai Agassi, in the NY Times by David Pogue. Exciting possibilities.

DISLIKE DISLIKE DISLIKE But I want to see such pages all the same. To stay informed. But they are lying, when saying that 2 000 000 000 electric cars in the world would be a sustainable transport solution.

Better Place has announced plans to sell cars and build charging stations on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the island of Hawaii by 2011. This means less imported oil would be refined into gasoline, although diesel generators still provide most of the state's electricity. The utilities will develop solar and wind generation capacity to support this new venture.

I am so excited about Better Place and the work they will be doing in California. I read about electric cars and the huge reduction their use would make for our society in Jeff Wilson's book THE MANHATTAN PROJECT OF 2009 ENERGY INDEPENDENCE NOW www.themanhattanprojectof2009.com I had NO idea the plans he proposed would come to fruition this fast. This is beyond exciting. Go Arnold, Go California, and Go Better Place! Show the rest of the country what they need to be doing. Lead the way others will follow. I hope Washington DC is taking note. Our country is in a sorry state of affairs and not enough attention has been paid to the role the high cost of our oil this past year has played in the downward spiral of our economy and society. And while the whole country is doing the happy dance at the lower prices at the pumps and all the reporters are reporting the happy dance OPEC is cutting production again. They just don't get it! BETTER PLACE DOES GET IT, and it is beyond refreshing and exciting!
