ESP Experiment

Most fun I've had stumbling in some time. I won't brag about how quick I figured it out, rather I'll just say that it can be figured out and it has nothing to do with ESP or quantum computing. The fact that so many people are fooled is the real trick, read the comments. Especially ... more

Lame but clever idea. The truly amazing thing is the number of people who think there is some sort of "trick" involved here.

THe trick is kind of stupid actually. I'm surprised it only takes your card away 98% of the time, given how it works. :)

Wow, I had just given up on believing in ESP!

Most fun I've had stumbling in some time. I won't brag about how quick I figured it out, rather I'll just say that it can be figured out and it has nothing to do with ESP or quantum computing. The fact that so many people are fooled is the real trick, read the comments. Especially funny are the "It didn't work at all" comments. What those people don't realize is they are even stupider than the people who think some special quantum computing can explain the "phenomenon".

From the explanations page- Quantum mechanics may permit synchronicity of thought and computer software. I suggest that, on the quantum level, you were able to predict the card I selected even before I selected it. It is also possible that my brainwaves may influence your software. Although this seems far-fetched, we know that brainwaves are detectable with SQUID (superconducting quantum interference devices.)LOL!! A quantum physics major cant figure it out!!! just more proof that smart people and more often dumber then dumb people.

There is a simple rational explanation to this mind-boggling little trick. Simple.
