pflammertsma rated 8 months ago- In my opinion, it is never justified that applications steal focus. But alas, since it does happen, we programmers have to take that into account when writing mouse handling code.

mranalog rated 9 months ago- I just have to say, is this a real big problem for a lot of people? I've been computing for a long time with a mouse and I've been in support roles for applications that use mouse interaction and I have never come across this particular problem.

- good idea for things like drawing programs but not so good for everything else. otherwise this could be added in by the window manager and programs wouldn't have to do anything.
