- We will never forget. There are 50,000 names in the wall. This is wonderful, bring your tissues as you listen.

- A very poignant song performed by George Jones called "50,000 Names". A fine tribute to the fallen HEROES that are on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in DC.

- I know I am going overtime in this stumble. The best man at my mother and fathers wedding is on the wall. My father was always a very stoic and solemn man. Never smiled, never frowned. Always steady as a rock. about 15 years ago, the family was having thanksgiving at my sisters house in DC. He and I elected to go visit the wall. I have seen it before but, unknown to me, he had not been there yet. It was the only time I have ever seen my giant of a military colonel father cry. While I always had an understanding of the meaning of sacrifice, I never fully understood it until that day my father and I stood next to the wall alone.
