This is inside the 30k radius following the Chernobyl disaster. The tragedy of it was awful. Anyone who ever saw images of the aftermath would agree. BUT... These pictures are incredible. This is a public swimming pool that was abandoned in 1996. And this is how it looked in 2005.

Eight years later photographer David McMillan decided to go into some of the towns and take these incredible photos. As interesting as it sounds there's no way in hell I'd be caught anywhere near there.
