If we put all of our best teachers to teaching the best students, what do we leave for the average or worse students? The worst teachers. If we reverse it, then we stifle the potential of the "gifted" students. Do we teach our best in hopes that the few geniuses will pull up the rest of our society by the bootstraps, or do we sacrifice the hopes of a few possible geniuses in order to maintain the moderate intelligence of everyone else?

Gifted programs are shit, all of it is shit. Was in GATE for 3 years, it's the same candy in a different fucking wrapper. You really want your children to be intelligent, creative, funny, freethinkers? Get them out of public education and homeschool them.
