I'm not one to quote pages at length, but...
He was born in 1809 and died about 1880. He was very anti-Christian and tried to influence anyone he could not to believe in God. He was very full of godless ideas. He was a very avid agnostic, racist, and an evolutionist. He believed in a great infinite age of the universe. He was very influential in furthering the ideas of evolution, particularly in the country of England.
I'm relatively sure I passed that writing level by the time I was twelve. I can't say I find Hovind's "PhD" status all that surprising, but it's still frustrating as hell.

Kent Hovind would be hilarious to listen to, except that thousands of people believe the garbage that spews from his mouth. "Doctor"? Yeah right.

This is a good article discrediting Kent Hovind's thesis paper and claims for having his doctorate. It's great for intelligent and somewhat educated people to read and laugh about, but the I.D. supporters and creationalists are neither. The fact that this sort of rubbish is so prevalent indicates that the American educational system has failed miserably. So many damn middle/high school teachers are blatantly religious that it is no wonder that we can't trust our kids to recieve anything BUT a substandard science education. My middle and high school classes NEVER taught anything to do with evolution! Can you believe that shit? I had to wait until college to hear the basic tenents of evolution.....and I was grossly underprepared. Really, most things taught at my high school were wayyyy too dumbed down to be effective. It sure didn't help that we would spend 10 minutes of the 45 minute class just taking attendance. The challenging part about going to high school was not the material, merely the boredom of being wedged into small seats in an overcrowded classroom with an elderly woman who should have been retired drone on about a topic which was beyond her comprehension. THAT is why I spent so much time in high school drugged into an almost comatose state. That little old lady teaching thermodynamics and such looked and sounded a lot more interesting after a few hits of good blotter. Our administration knew that the drug use was rampant, and instead of fighting the cause (utter boredom), they merely hired principals known to use as the enforcers. lol, the administration was replaced with retired cops. Really the 5 highest ranking administrators at my high school were ex-cops. Typical of the war on drugs, more policing less social services. Well, ok, i'm done ranting.
