Karolinger rated 6 months ago- From the page: "There is a limit built into SU which prevents one account from thumbing too many pages from the one domain. This limit exists to prevent spam, by which I mean floods of pages from the one site intended to capture a larger percentage of traffic. As it happens thumbing multiple pages from the one domain actually *reduces* traffic, but it also results in a lessening of the quality of the database, hence the limit against it. You can't tell for certain if a specific user has hit this limit, or if something else is causing them to not be able to thumb content from a site, but looking at the page in question and based on the behaviour being reported, it is *likely* that this limit has kicked in. Birdwatcher: The easiest way to tell if it is the anti-spam limit effecting you is to just try thumbing pages from other sites. If you only have problems with your own site, then you've hit the limit. If the problem is with all pages, then it's something else. Thumbing multiple pages from the one domain clearly does constitute spam under the ToS - otherwise we wouldn't have a hard-coded limit to prevent that behaviour. However the Help forum isn't an appropriate place for insulting people or calling them out on their thumbing practices - if you think someone is a spammer, use the spam tools provided. Don't start going at someone in Help - that also is a breach of the ToS, and repeated breaches will result in you being removed from the Help forum. Don't post to the help forum except to provide or ask for help. Follow the forum posting rules. If you're not actually helping, don't post. End of story."
