@ Koger: I was a cashier for several months at a grocery store, and got sick 6 times in that short amount of time, even though I was washing my hands frequently and using hand sanitizer after I handled cash. It's all relative. Some people get sick easier than others.

Tips that are very much true, despite what Koger says. What Koger does not understand is immunity. Because Koger comes frequently into contact with things in this high germ environment, he is less likely to get ill. Koger also seems to think that this is a forum to voice complaints about customers which has nothing at all to do with the article. The article is a very well researched consumer article and not designed for angry-at-customers cashiers.
