The Very Thought Of You

The very thought of you and I forget to do
The little ordinary things that everyone ought to do
I'm living in a kind of daydream
I'm happy as a king
And foolish though it may seem
To me that's everything

The mere idea of you, the longing here for you
You'll never know how slow the moments go till I'm near to you
I see your face in every flower
Your eyes in stars above
It's just the thought of you
The very thought of you, my love

(instrumental interlude)

The mere idea of you, the longing here for you
You'll never know how slow the moments go till I'm near to you
I see your face in every flower
Your eyes in stars above
It's just the thought of you
The very thought of you, my love

Also, Billy Holiday did a beautiful version of this, but when I don't know. --Dr.M

Y'all know I had to have this moon shot for my very own! Thanks to the lovely and amazing Greys1200, who is in one of the most noble and important professions of all -- teaching our little ones with special challenges. She automatically ranks up there in the top of my favorites list for that reason alone, but it helps that she has marvelous stumbles, too. Thanks, Greys -- you *totally* rock!
