joelwills discovered 2 months ago- Vertical Farming, which has been discussed for years, would involve building high rise multi level "Farmscrapers" where farmers would employ sustainable farming practices in a controlled environment. Dickson Despommier, professor of Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia, and one of the true pioneers of this idea, thinks this could ultimately ease the world's food, water, and energy crises.

JoelBittle rated 2 months ago- With increased fuel costs local foods will become more and more important. Farmscrapers would help with the food supply for large cities.

silentreverie rated 2 months ago- A concept well thought out, but I fear that these "farmscrapers" will only encourage industrialization to create a world of only humans and AI. A very dark and sinister world.

stins718 rated 2 months ago- How cool would it be to have a farmscraper in your city? So cool.
