    More people need to be aware of the health and environmental downside to bamboo, which is covered at the bottom of the article. A U.S. organic cotton shirt is more eco-friendly than an organically grown bamboo shirt, because the bamboo is grown and processed all the way over in China. Also, just because the bamboo is organically grown, doesn't mean there were no toxic chems used to process it to make it super soft and dyed bright! So, mama Earth is not really smiling about your Chinese bamboo shirt. She will smile even bigger when you buy second hand clothes, and reuse what you have.
