EDIT: Fixed. can't get greasemonkey script to work. any advice would be appreciated.

elegant way to save youtube videos as mp4 files (With no software other than you browser.) Also a good explanation of youtube's url structure.

Not only does this work, but it is better than downloading a flv file. It is also better than using a dodgy 3rd party site to download YouTube videos. Brilliant!
