When you don't want to wade through the CSS specfication to figure out a simple 2- or 3-column layout, you can use one of these.

Great CSS resource. Look ma, no tables, thats hilarious. I always laugh about things like that, don't know why, maybe because I picture a grown up webdesigner calling his mom and saying that with a serious but happy face.
