- Some great photos but in my experience most of these runways would be considered no more dangerous than other runways on "standard" fields. A couple here that I might consider technically challenging but as long as I knew the wind strength and direction, air temperature (and density) my aiming point technique would bring me safely down onto any of these runways.

If you look very closely in the center of the photograph, you'll see why I much prefer flying helicopters over airplanes: runways are optional.

- some of these aren't dangerous, they are the most practical possible for the locations, eg. The one in portugal, with the extended runway + stabilisers, and the island ones.
