- you know me. the quiet kid who inhales caffeine, sugar and red bulls in the morning, arrives early, sits in the front row of the class and, 4 minutes in, promptly falls asleep. right in the teacher's face. it's not disrespect. i'm just allergic to mornings. geeque Another great page, are you really in the Sudan? The head of the road building thingumy is a mate of mine there. Coz like everyone in the Sudan must now eachother right? Sorry, being a dimwit. It happens.

Aug 9, 3:50pm ARGH! what was that, you ask? here goes: for the past 2 days the entire (all of it!) country has been without internet access. yes, ladies and gentlemen, all businesses, embassies, schools, colleges, stumblers, pornaholics and slackers living in the largest country in africa have been without a vital part of their existence (and isn't that just sad). gossip had it that the one (?!) server had up and died in a spectacular shower of sparks. this is the part where i made keening, dying-animal noises and tried not to panic. so once i got over the shock, i spent that time relearning the faces of friends and family. this was, in some cases, quite unpleasant: - me: what's that on your face? - someone else: ...that's my mustache. - me: ah. um...is that new? - s.e.: i've had that for 19 years now. - me: knew that. [awkward pause] so i haven't seen you in a while - s.e.: i was here yesterday. - me: right. - s.e.: and all of last week. - me: now you're just rubbing it in. yes, i know: i am a whole new breed of pathetic. shut up. you don't have cousins that number in the hundreds.
