Seeing as I work in the paper business and make my money solely off of sales, this is depressingly true. The brass up top makes all their money off of advertising and us little guys get the shaft because it's in our contract.

Really now, the classic laugh would have been perfectly sufficient in getting the point across. It's like telling a really obvious joke and then explaining the punch line.

I read the newspaper more because it is a dying medium than to be informed. However, I believe that papers like the Wall Street Journal and NY Times will always be in print.
