The conundrum of self promotion and social media - great article!

From the page: "If the item is informational or helpful rather than being an obvious sales pitch why should there be a problem? Many bloggers and small site owners often have limited resources to get visibility for the knowledge they want to share with others. Social media is about sharing, promoting, discussing information, knowledge and even at times entertaining. Who cares if the item submitted is the author or a random surfer that happened upon the item? "

So, should you promote your own works on social media sites? Allen thinks you should and I agree with him. If it's quality information, who cares who submits it? Don't be a twit and submit garbage but don't be afraid to let people know about your work.
