- The tragedy of the persecution of the eminent psychologist Wilhelm Reich brings to my mind the hegemony of the Western Culture over the control of both mind and body! Reich died a terrible death to cancer after he was imprisoned by the FBI. Kate Bush's song, Cloudbusting is dedicated to this brilliant man. Still to this day, I WILL NEVER COMPREHEND WHY A POLITICAL AGENDA OF ANY NATION WOULD EVER DESIRE TO HAVE CONTROL OVER ESSENTIALLY NEUROBIOLOGY??? FACT: Life is short, and should be about feeling pleasant, happy, essentially enjoyment! OF COURSE, THERE IS LITTLE PROFIT IN A SOCIETY WHERE ONE IS NOT IDENTIFIED IN MATERIALISTIC TERMS, AS THE AMERICAN IDENTITY HAD BY THE 1950s, ALREADY DEEPLY IMMERSED ITSELF IN THE 'YOU ARE WHAT YOU OWN MYTH!!!' REICH WAS A THREAT THE VERY ELEMENTS THAT DEFINED CAPITALISM! Regardless, regular sexual activity is HEALTHY, and promotes a healthy NEUROCHEMISTRY! LIFE WITHOUT CONTACT AND INTERACTION WITH OTHERS TURNS US INTO 'HARLOW'S MONKEYS'!!! Atomized and alienated people are easy to control!!! Healthy happy people that have a loving relationship do not need to buy things constantly! They do not need the Porsche to show 'sexual prowess!!! However, outright hedonism is not what Reich aimed for, nor is it good for Neurochemistry. We might be Social Animals, but promiscuity IS NOT HEALTHY! I THINK THE BEST ROUTE TO HEALTH IS A HEALTHY MARRIAGE!!! IT ALSO IS THE BEST ROUTE TO WEALTH! NOT IN THE SENSE OF 'MARRYING A MILLIONAIRE,' BUT IN THE SENSE OF BUILDING UP A SOLID FOUNDATION TO CREATE WEALTH!!!
