What is it you dislike about your job, your business, your life? maybe hating it will make you move forward and actually do something about it.

Very out of phase with the movie "The Secret." This is refreshing. Hate, fear, anger, can be a powerful motivator for me. I'm probably too much of an optimist to make a hate list though. But maybe I should.

This is a bit like the way developers prefer to spend time on writing a program to automate a dull task rather than on the task itself. Spend your time on the fun stuff!

Interesting point of view - turning what you hate into something of an advantage in your life and many areas.

From the page: "If you're just dissatisfied, you wonât work hard to change. For example, maybe you dislike the hassle of dealing with the same old questions with each client, but you havent gotten around to making a frequently answered questions web page/document (because you dont have the time)."

Hmm.. the Pavlovian conditioning of pleasure seeking and pain avoidance, reviewed from a freelancer's context. Excellent! Through using 'hate', you take effective measures to avoid or eradicate that pain lingering on your projects. Another thought provoking piece.

Most people don't leverage this because they're hanging out in a state we'll just call dissatisfaction. It's not thrilling, but it's not strong enough to make you want to do the work to make a change.

Using your "hate" list to your advantage.

This article makes a great point - if you want change, you need to make it as miserable as possible to live WITHOUT that change. Most people hang around in the middle and don't feel strongly enough one way or another to take effective action.
