I don't know if anyone else does but I hear the degradation in mp3 files, I wonder if this will sound better. When I have a good chuck of time I am going to give this a thorough check.

Te only reason I don't use FLAC exclusively is my wife has portable players that wont support it. It really is the best way to store and listen to music on my computer(s) though.

I would totally use FLAC 100% of the time, except that my 3rd gen iPod Nano doesn't support it. I can't even override the firmware with rockbox!

It troubles me deeply to listen to artists I respect on anything but FLAC.

Just the best but will it remain or go the route of the flush in favour of proprietary?

Oh. So that's what FLAC is. I was hesitant to download it, because I didn't want to be taking down helicopters with my iPod.
