In response to the anxious hostility I've seen in religious and spiritual organizations over the years, organizations such as the United States of America, 12 step programs of many flavors and the United Church of Canada, I recently became an ordained minister. The First Church of Atheism. On the internet of course: firstchurchofatheism.com [firstchurchofatheism.com] All the rights and privileges of an ordained minister, such as weddings, hospital access, etc., according to the web site. I even get a certificate and a nifty wallet sized id card. (for an extra 20 bucks or so). Also I can start a congregation and preach . *I could read Darwin out loud in my basement, if I had a basement* Loads of entertainment.
BEST of all I can call myself Reverend! How cool is that?

If you have to organize and make mantras and philosophies, and agree on them collectively - that's religion, and therefore ffrf is an oxymoron ... rather, a violation of their very proclaimed purpose. Oh! I believe that's called hypocrisy, and the fear of theism or deism is called superstitious paranoia with promotion of propoganda, stereotyping and evangelism. Wait!! Isn't that what they say "religion" is doing?
More atrocities have been done in the hands of the anti-religious, and even more by those that are organized against those of religions.
Yep - that sort of violent hate towards those who would otherwise be charitable and peaceful is in our history, and certainly not an American goal of freedom of choice, speech or press.
