I think this is a very cool site. Basically like streaming your own radio station, without the commercials. Play songs by year or compile a list of your favorites and simply listen. Hopefully soon they will work out some of the bugs and improve the search, since the site is very new and oftentimes down.

Looks like a new site, but really awesome. I've been trying to find a site that will play top songs from a specific year... so far, this has been the only one that I've found. This site also plays songs from your pandora or last.fm accounts! Very cool!
