It is simple, small, and therefore super fast - yet it has a very decent array of features. I love the minimalist interface--all you see is your pictures.

For example when in full screen mode, moving the mouse to one of the four sides show various useful stuff such as thumbnails of other pictures in the same folder, exif information, editing and navigation. Also the + and - move in ratios of zoom rather than absolute amounts which really doesn't work right.
