Faster Fox.......Another great extension for the Firefox browser. I was having problems with pages here at SU " hanging" and was constantly hitting stop and reload. My problem was particularly bad using the IM function and getting post edits to update . After installing this add-on the problem was solved! I have noticed a marked increase in the loading of other web pages as well. Turbo charge your browser!!

- I've used Fasterfox for quite a while now, and though it occasionally slows down new pages I visit, pages I regularly visit it speeds up surfing a LOT! I've found a link for a tweaked version of Fasterfox, called rather cheesly Fastererfox. It allows you to grab web pages even faster with some new options which can be changed by the rather cool sounding "Thrash" option in the properties box. http://rdc.untamed.co.uk/fastererfox/frame.htm

Shabden rated 27 months ago- As much as I like Firefox, this extension is one you should NOT install. The fault is that it prefetches the links on each page that you surf by. Think about it. Every Stumbleupon blog has dozens of links for Fasterfox to download in the background, and you will probably not actually visit any of them.
Fasterfox is clogging up the internet with unwanted packets, trashing the bandwith limits of sites that have never been visited and increasing your download limits on your broadband.- As much as I like Firefox, this extension is one you should NOT install. Here another great Firefox extension: "Fasterfox - performance and network tweaks for Firefox ● Prefetch Links Dynamic speed increases can be obtained with Firefox's unique prefetching mechanism, which recycles idle bandwidth by silently loading and caching all of the links on the page you are browsing. ● Tweak Network Fasterfox allows you to tweak many network and rendering settings such as simultaneous connections, pipelining, cache, DNS cache, and initial paint delay. ● Block Popups A popup blocker for popups initiated by Flash plug-ins is also included. ● Page Load Timer New! A millisecond accurate page load timer tests the effectiveness of your settings."
