    @thor623: it's not that hard to be Microsoft-free. thumbs'd because I found it mildly amusing. Microsoft tries to hire out open-source developers to take them out of the ecosystem quite a lot.

    I love that an executive at Microsoft took him out to dinner to sit down and really understand his argument; it makes Eric Raymond seem even more immature to throw such a fit over the original email (and he shouldn't think he's so important to believe that the exec got fired for reporting what they talked about).
