far off and lonely.
Black mare, large moon,
olives in my saddle-bags;
although I know the roads
I'll never get to Córdoba.
Across the plain, into the wind.
Black mare, red moon.
Death is watching me
from the towers of Córdoba.
This never-ending journey.
This steadfast mare.
And death awaiting me
before I reach Córdoba.
Córdoba,
