Don't you just love Wiki. My horse George was named after Byron, he was born on St Georges day in Newstead Abbey grounds, home of Byron. Through wiki I just jumped to Ada Lovelace (Byrons daughter) another hero of mine and then onto her daughter Lady Anne Blunt who as it turns out founded the Crabbet Arabian Stud to which most modern Arabs can trace their lineage. So it seems that my George (who is dutch warmblood and full of arab blood) has more to thank Byron for than his name!
